The day that Alfred Jones officially took office marked a sad day for Vorenus. The city’s previous mayor, Caesar had given Vorenus is job. For that alone, Lucius felt a great deal of debt towards him, although there were other reasons as well. ( His attitude towards the mayor elect, however, left something to be desired. )
